CMCom History - Compatible only with ChessMAGIC! 2.20 and above
Version Description
======= ====================================================================
3.4 - Corrected lockup when carrier is dropped.
3.3 - When making a move and if/then moves exist, receiving the response
"If/Then Moves were Made", CMCom was incorrectly displaying "Y/N"
to respond. To continue the correct response is "C" any other key
aborts the move.
3.2 - Corrected problem moving black pieces with the mouse.
3.1 - Corrected so that customized com ports could be addressed.
- Added Mouse support to the menu and board areas.
3.0 I told you there would be some quick releases <grin>.
- Removed the need for the local.sys,door.sys, remote.sys files.
- Changed the command line parameters being passed to CMCom. Review
the local.bat and the remote.bat files for implementation.
- Enhanced the GUI interface considerably.
- Corrected the repeated error messages on the board screen.
2.20 This is a very very early BETA version. You may experience some
problems especially if you normally experience line noise in your
communications.
I have released this earlier than I would like, due to the demand
of requests. Please keep in mind that this is the beta version and
there will be several updates during the next couple of months.
Please report any associated problems to KnightWare BBS.
IMPORTANT! This version is compatible with ChessMAGIC! version
2.20 and higher only! If you're sysop doesn't have
that version, tell him/her to get it! It will not
work properly on a previous version of ChessMAGIC!.
HINTS - If you're not receiving graphic menus/board sets, or
not connecting, the following:
1) make sure the '= Graphics' option on the ChessMAGIC!
main menu is set to ON.
2) Check your com port configuration insure correctness.
3) Edit the remote.sys bat file with a text editor, and
place your connect baud rate on lines 2 / 4. It
should currently read 2400 on both lines.
